Only two more Saturdays before the Big Event!

Thanks to those who have supported the WhyITWATS? film event
    by handing out flyers and posting posters.

Unfortunately we only had six (6) attendees at this month's monthly meeting, and four of those were 'core group members'. We need people to be active so we can stop this assault on our lives and health and children and friends and family and planet.

Thank you to Paul Ellcessor and Betty Credit for showing up at the Saturday Farmer's Market to help hand out flyers. They are very productive and will be helping next Saturday, too. And thanks to Scott Murphy for helping Marla post posters in downtown Chico, and to the businesses that allowed us to post them.

An extra special thank you to Joe H. who donated ANOTHER $200 to CSW. (and brought two loaves of bakery bed to Bill and Marla at the tabling table.) His dedication and support has become near-legendary in Chico circles.

We will be tabling this Saturday/13 at the Farmer's Market with our flyers, as usual.

We will be there from 9:00 am to about 1:00 pm when the market closes. We need people throughout the morning to help. We have several hundred quarter-page flyers to hand out, and the more people helping the better. Paul and Betty were so productive handing out flyers that we ran out and had to have more printed.

Special thank you to Mr. Kopy Downtown School & Office Supply, located a 119 Main St. in Chico (next to 7/11). They are supportive of the work CSW is doing and give us helpful discounts.

We will be at the Farmer's Market for the next two Saturdays up to the time of the showing of the film. So we will need help on those Saturday mornings, and throughout the week at other locations. We need someone to put up posters at Butte College.

We MUST promote the film event to get enough people to attend to make it worthwhile. If we have another 'failure', we probably won't do this again.

So PLEASE HELP as much as you can with passing out and putting up flyers and posters between now and October 20th. If you can't help with the flyers, then perhaps you can afford a monetary donation.

We usually try to table on the north-western corner of the market / public parking lot across from US Bank, at the corner of E. 2nd St. and Wall St. Sometimes people get there before us and we have to move somewhere else. But we will always be on the periphery of the market on the sidewalk, so we shouldn't be difficult to find. Ideally, we need at least four (4) people to hand out flyers on all four corners of the public parking area where the market is based.
