...[E]verybody can be great, because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don't have to know Einstein's theory of relativity to serve. You don't have to know the second theory of thermodynamics in physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love. And you can be that servant.

Next Monthly Meeting is Wednesday, February 24 at 6:00 pm.

Please join us for the next Chico Sky Watch meeting on Wednesday, February 24 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chico branch of the Butte County Library at 1108 Sherman Ave. corner of First Ave.

They're still spraying the bejesus out of us. The most important thing we can do is to increase awareness and encourage people to openly discuss the facts. There are scientists, officials, military personnel and would-be whistle blowers who need cover before they will risk speaking out. Join us at our meeting to share thoughts and strategies.

Agenda:

1.   Did YOU Help BAN GeoEngineering? We will discuss the Event on the Capitol steps that took place on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. A statewide coalition of groups similar to Chico Sky Watch (California for Natural Skies) planned the gathering in Sacramento. Featured speakers were well-known leaders of the movement (Michael Murphy, Patrick Roddie), scientists Allan Buckman and J. Marvin Herndon, and an attorney from the legal team looking into litigation.

2.   CSW Film Night will be discussed. The first event was held at the Holistic Water Store on Mangrove Ave., thanks to owner Joyce Bippus, who offered to let us meet at her store at no charge. The first film was shown on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 6:00 pm, Clifford Carnicom's abridged documentary, Cloud Cover: The Deliberate Destruction of Our Atmosphere.

3.   Our efforts to have our table at the Saturday Farmers' Market every week have been slowed down due to inclement weather and illness. We try to be a presence there from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. We always have some meaningful conversations and connections with people either completely lacking in knowledge but interested, or up to speed and ready to help spread the word. Marla is able to bring the materials but can't unload the car, do set up, and close up without some help. So if you are inclined to lend a hand, please contact us.

4.   Note that we are always in need of donation funds to pay for various projects, and we would do more projects if we had more money. Another project we just re-funded (thanks to a few supporters – the same group that usually takes on most of the cost for these things) is our underwriting ad on KZFR public radio. You might have heard Chico Sky Watch mentioned on some shows there. It costs us about $100/month and reaches a lot of people. This contract is for the next 3 months, mentioned several times per week.

NEW 2016 Updated CSW Tri-Fold Flyer.

We have updated and printed 3,000 of our beautiful CSW tri-fold flyers. These are the perfect outreach, education, and awareness literature to hand out to people. Most of us will not do anything as active and proactive, meaningful and important, as handing these flyers out to the public to spread the word about this all-important issue. It is almost literally the least each of us can do.

The online page about the flyer has been updated, as well.

The printing costs were about $450, which puts the cost of each flyer at about $0.15. We appreciate any donations people can make to help alleviate the financial burden this puts on certain members of the group who fund these out of their own pockets. (until enough donations are made to partially pay them back)

All of the media that CSW hands out at the Street Rallies, the Saturday Farmers' Market tabling, the yearly Endangered Species Faire booth, and other events we attend, cost money to print, which is, of course, not free.

We usually print items at Mr. Kopy, and appreciate the little extra deals and discounts they give us, which helps. Mr. Kopy has been very supportive of CSW over the years and we encourage people to support them with your printing needs. Their quality is top notch, their prices are very affordable, and their service is wonderful. We cannot say enough good things about them. (the flyers are printed at a large printing house in the Bay Area to get the cost down low enough to make it viable and affordable)

It took us about 3 years to hand out the first 4,000 flyers. Let's see if we can beat that this time. Everyone should have a small stack of these in their car, purse, etc., ready to give to the "unsuspecting public". (so, at $0.15 each, people can calculate how much of a donation it would take to at least cover the cost, or preferably a larger donation on top of that — $5.00 per 20 (or 25, or 30) would be nice)

Note that we specifically designed these flyers so they are more usable by other Anti-GeoEngineering Movement Activists and Groups, including a location to stamp their website or other information at the top front.
